Eva's creations absolutely astonished me. She is making spiral-bound vintage journals from old books! The journals contain 50 pages of blank heavy-weight paper (30% recycled and acid-free) and the first chapter of the book. Some of them include illustrations dispersed throughout the journal.
As you could imagine, Eva is a vintage lover, who feels more than happy in Granny's attic. "I am a very nostalgic person who appreciates and often lives in the past, " she says about herself. "I have always loved old books and have collected them for many years. The illustrations, fonts, colours and types of papers found in old books are hard if not impossible to find in new ones."
I love Eva's idea, because it gives us the opportunity to enjoy and treasure old books (some of them from the early 1900's) once again. We live in a use-and-throw society, and endeavors like this remind us to reuse, recycle and be creative.Links:
