5+1 Reasons to Love DaWanda

I sell my gem angel jewellery on DaWanda, and have many reasons to like the site's services.
  1. DaWanda is the most trafficed online selling venue for handmade products in Europe, and Nr. 3 worldwide after Etsy and Ecrater (Ecrater is not a dedicated handmade marketplace).
  2. DaWanda seems to find ways to attract buyers and not simply more and more sellers. About 95% of the sales in my shop are to people who have only joined the site in order to buy.
  3. Searching for items is uncomplicated and the shopping cart process - straightforward.
  4. DaWanda evolves constantly, adding useful new features all the time. Being mainly a seller, I will give  examples from a seller's point of view: Recently we woke up to an easy to use discount/additional charge option (for example, if the client wants a larger/smaller size of a piece of clothing, etc), and even a way to set up a sale without needing to change the price of each and every item manually. Another novelty on the German platform is the seller portal with selling tips and legal advice concerning craft enterpreneurs (the articles in the latter section are written by lawyers).
  5. DaWanda tends to come up with exciting unexpected ideas - like the community film "Creating Love", which is being co-created by all interested DaWanda members right now.
This article was supposed to include 5 reasons only, but a sixth one poped  up into my mind just so: DaWanda's team is great with communication. I don't remember having contacted them with a question (OK, I do it rather seldom) without receiveing a prompt responce a day or two after my email.

  3. SilverCoastSeaGlass, you're welcome!

I've been on DaWanda for a while and absolutely enjoy it. My shop is both on the German and the English platform (it's easy, you list the items just once with one and the same listing form, and only need to write the description and the tags in both languages).

DaWanda is a German site and at the moment its German platform seems to be the most developed and trafficed one. However, they work hard on the other two and I feel that with their speed of development, it's only a matter of time to achieve the goal of all-Europe populatity.
