Handmade Wedding Products - Overview

Making your own wedding dress could be a way to save money and  still have the dress of your dreams.

Sue Harold from LaCosturera is based in Bristol and sells her breathtaking silk creations on Etsy. She offers a broad palette of bridal gown designs - classic, trendy, romantic, elegant.

This post features examples from 3 different Etsy shops.

Nadia's designs left me speechless with their elegance, creativity and sophisticated usage of precise paper-cut patterns.

The Israeli-born designer team behind Artisan Impact met at the age of 14 in an arts high school and later trained in Spain. Nowadays they spend long hours at their studio in Montreal and say they "enjoy every minute of it". Looking at the finished designs, you can only believe them.

Woomi Pyo is a South Korean designer, specialized in bridal accessories. She graduated from the Parsons School of Design in New York  and is now based in Seoul. Ring cushions are  her specialty, along with garters and hair adornments. Her work is available on Etsy and on her personal website.

Ruby Wren Designs is a small business in the UK specialising in greeting cards. The creative person behind it is artist Hayley Mitchell, who designs and handmades every single card. The patterns are elegant, simplistic and versatile. You can use them for virtually any occassion - Valentine, wedding, birthday, anniversary, etc. Each design comes in many different colours.

Have a look at this exquisite rose! Each petal and leaf is handcrafted using a traditional French beading technique with wire and delicate glass seed beads. Megan's creations would make a great wedding bouquet, bridesmaid gift, Valentine present, etc. 

María Fernanda's feminine brooches could be used as wedding accessories - either for the bride herself, or for the bridesmaids. Made of taffeta, chiffon, vintage fabrics, and embellished with rhinestones or beaded leaves, they could also complement elegant dresses, hats, bags or scarves.

Brandi from Tweedle Dee Designs is a graphic designer, passionate about everything party-related. Tweedle Dee offers designs for various occasions such as weddings, baby showers, birthdays. Most items are printable and possible to personalize.
